What We Collect
Almost nothing. HearHz is designed with privacy as a core principle.
Audio
No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted. All tones are generated locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. We never access your microphone.
Test Results
Your hearing test results are saved only in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device. You can export it as JSON or clear it at any time.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics (page views, session duration, device type). This helps us understand how people use HearHz and improve the experience. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Cookies
Google Analytics may set cookies for analytics purposes. HearHz itself uses only localStorage (not cookies) to save your calibration settings and test history.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
No Account Required
HearHz does not require registration, login, or any personal information. There is no account system, no email collection, and no user tracking beyond anonymous analytics.
Data Deletion
To delete all your data, simply clear your browser's local storage for this site, or use the "Clear All" button in the test history section.
